Unlike Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood doesn’t have Seuss Landing — but they still find a way to celebrate “Grinchmas.” The Whos take over Universal Plaza with their whimsical decorations. Plus, wizards and Minions have decorated their respective areas of the park.
Universal Studios Hollywood Holiday Decorations
Lights are wrapped around the palm trees in the entrance area of the park. Large wreaths and garlands adorn the iconic archway and adjacent buildings.
Garland is also wrapped around lampposts.
Grinchmas in Universal Plaza
As guests arrive at Universal Plaza, the decorations get a bit more cartoonish.
There are curved Christmas trees with giant gold stars. Big ornaments hang from this archway.
A banner declares “Happy Who-Bilation.”
Past the banner is a temporary Who-ville complete with meet-and-greets and a stage for the Grinchmas celebration.
A giant curved Christmas tree is on the stage, weighed down by the huge golden star on the top of it.
Oversized presents surround the base of the tree. Garlands are wrapped around the windows and doors of the village.
Over by the Minion meet and greet, there are two large wreaths covered in colorful ornaments on the gates. A smaller wreath is above the door behind the Minions.
The Minion soldier figures guarding Super Silly Fun Land now wear tall red Santa hats with holly decorations.
Outside Minion Cafe is a Christmas tree with colorful baubles and Minion-inspired ornaments.
A green archway by The Pets Store declares “Happy Merry Everything.”
It’s wrapped in garland and “The Secret Life of Pets” character figures at its base are wearing holiday outfits.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
The decorations in Hogsmeade are similar to those in the Florida version of the land.
Garlands are around windows and wreaths hang on lampposts.
The decorations on each building are a little different, like each of the magic proprietors picked them out.
There are trees with Hogwarts house-inspired garland on the stage.
Decorations are on the entrance columns beneath the winged boar statues in front of Hogwarts.
