College Football Teams from Michigan and Alabama Visit Disneyland Ahead of Rose Bowl Game

Players from Michigan and Alabama rode down Mainstreet, U.S.A., on a traditional visit to Disneyland Park ahead of the annual Rose Bowl College Football Playoff Semifinal.

Disney Parks Blog shared information on the Rose Bowl teams’ visit to Disneyland — a tradition that dates back to 1955. Visiting the park for the day was Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, and Michigan players, defensive back Mike Sainristil, defensive lineman Kris Jenkins, running back Blake Corum, Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban, and Alabama players: quarterback Jalen Milroe, linebacker Dallas Turner, and defensive back Malachi Moore. The group stopped in front of Sleepy Beauty Castle to snap a photo with Mickey Mouse ahead of the big game on January 1.

Players from Michigan were taken down Mainstreet, U.S.A. in a white horse-drawn carriages During their visit, both teams also took a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

The players from Alabama rode down Mainstreet, U.S.A. in a black horse-drown carriage. This annual event was the teams’ first official pregame appearance.

Disneyland has a long-standing relationship with the Rose Bowl. They first welcomed Michigan State and UCLA ahead of their Rose Bowl game in 1955. This is 110th Rose Bowl Game, and the first time Michigan and Alabama have played against each other at the Rose Bowl.

Football fans can watch the College Football Playoff at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential Monday, January 1, at 2 p.m. PST on ESPN and the ESPN app.
