Following the final Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the 2023 holiday season, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will now be performed during the day for the week of Christmas at Magic Kingdom, instead of Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. The Christmas parade was already performed once during the day last month for filming holiday TV specials. Regular daytime performances then began on December 23 and guests can view the parade twice daily through New Year’s Eve (December 31).
Daytime Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
A troupe of classic Disney characters leads Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, followed by a Christmas tree float with Mickey and Minnie.
These characters include Daisy, Donald, Peter Pan, Wendy, Pluto, Pinocchio, Alice, and Tigger.
The classic characters are followed by skiiers and then a “Frozen” unit including Olaf, Anna, and Elsa.
The dancers between the two “Frozen” floats are ice harvesters.
Elsa is on a snowy float featuring Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post.
Next is the gingerbread unit, beginning with Vanellope von Schweetz driving her candy car.
She’s followed by Chip and Dale in chef outfits.
When Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade returned for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, Clarice the chipmunk had replaced Wreck-it Ralph on this gingerbread house float.
After Clarice are dancing gingerbread men and bakers.
Clarabelle Cow is baking gingerbread cookies on this kitchen float.
Goofy is next on a candy machine train.
The Seven Dwarfs march ahead of Snow White and her prince dancing together on the gazebo float.
The float is decorated with golden garland.
Next is Cinderella and Prince Charming in her coach, pulled by white horses.
The coach also features some festive decorations.
Performers in Victorian apparel dance before the next float.
The other princesses and princes are aboard the mirrored castle-inspired float, which is decorated with garlands and a “Happy Holidays” sign.
Belle is in her red and gold Christmas dress.
The Fairy Godmother is at the back of this float.
It’s time for toys!
Teddy bears and elves dance together before a toy soldier float.
The classic toys are followed by the toys of “Toy Story.”
A band of toy soldiers march ahead of the final float.
Santa’s float is led by his reindeer.
Santa himself is aboard his red sleigh, with a giant bag full of presents in the back, as it seems to fly over snow-covered houses.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be performed at noon and 3:00 p.m. every day through December 31, 2023. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will return on January 1, 2024.
