The “TRON 3” cast also includes Evan Peters (“X-Men” films, “American Horror Story”), Cameron Monaghan (“Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” and “Jedi: Survivor,” “Gotham”), Jodie Turner-Smith (starring in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Acolyte” series), Greta Lee (“Russian Doll,” “Past Lives,” “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”), and Sarah Desjardins (“Riverdale,” “Yellowjackets,” “The Night Agent”).

“TRON,” directed by Steven Lisberger and starring Jeff Bridges, was released in 1982 and became a cult classic. Bridges portrays Kevin Flynn, a video game designer who is transported into the world of computers. Bridges returned for “TRON: Legacy,” in which Garrett Hedlund plays his son, Sam. The sequel was directed by Joseph Kosinski. Both films, as well as the 2012 “TRON: Uprising” animated series starring Elijah Wood, are available to stream on Disney+.

The first Disney Parks attraction inspired by the “TRON” franchise, TRON Lightcycle Power Run, opened with Shanghai Disneyland in June 2016. A copy dubbed TRON Lightcycle / Run opened at Magic Kingdom in Florida in February 2023.
