After we saw water flowing through the flume of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, log ride vehicles are now visible at the bottom of the attraction.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Vehicles
There was no water in the flume when we stopped by on Tuesday, but a series of vehicles were in this loop near the end of the ride. The logs are the same ride vehicles that were used for Splash Mountain.
They have clearly been refurbished. This is most obvious when it comes to the rubber in front of the seats, which looks brand new. The Br’er Rabbit figures have been removed from the fronts of the log vehicles.
No new animal figure has been placed on the fronts of the logs.
The small posts on the backs of the logs already existed for pulling the vehicles when necessary. Red tags are attached to these posts, which say “REJECTED” on them. It’s unclear what the designation means in relation to the logs.
We saw one crew member walking through the tunnel next to the log vehicles. The flowing water and vehicles passing through the flume are all part of testing the attraction before people ride it again.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open this summer at Magic Kingdom and “later in 2024” at Disneyland.
