As crews continue to paint the DVC tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, they have erected scaffolding on the side of the building facing the Walt Disney World Monorail track.

DVC Tower Construction

Construction around the new DVC tower being built at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

The new tower is located on the edge of Seven Seas Lagoon, next to the Fiji and Tuvalu buildings of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It was first announced in March 2022 and takes over the space formerly held by the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at Luau Cove. It will be part of the same condo association as the other Disney Vacation Club accommodations at the Polynesian.

In recent weeks, wing-shaped awnings were installed over the center of the tower on both sides.

Cream paint added to the exterior of the tower.

Since our last look at the tower, crews have added a layer of light cream-colored paint over the exterior walls around the elevators. These walls were previously painted with a more orange shade of cream.

The new cream color paired with the existing orange paint on the elevator tower.

That orange color remains on the surrounding walls and the top of the elevator tower.

A crew member in a boom lift was working on walls that had not been fully painted yet and were still the gray color of concrete.

The new scaffolding is around the left side of the building. Several crew members were on the scaffolding and balconies.

Most of the balcony walls that were previously covered in sheathing are now a pale yellow color. Some sheathing is still visible on one wall near the elevators.

The scaffolding continues around the end of the building, which has been fully painted in cream and brown shades.

Above is the concept art for the DVC tower released in 2022. Designs are subject to change from concept to final appearance, but so far crews seem to be following this design.
