Disney Shares Behind-the-Scenes Look at Cotino Storyliving Community Entrance, Longtable Park, and Model Homes Under Construction

Disney Parks Blog launched The Blueprint, a hub of construction updates regarding Cotino, the first Storyliving by Disney community located in California’s Coachella Valley. With the first update, they shared a look at work on Cotino’s main entrance, Longtable Park, and model homes.

Cotino Construction Update

In the video below, the voice of Mickey Mouse, Bret Iwan, is joined by Anthony Henry to take a look at construction progress on Cotino, including the community’s entrance.

The Cotino community’s 360-degree views of the San Jacinto mountains inspired the Walt Disney Imagineering team’s creative design. It will feature a mix of natural and man-made elements bringing the spirit of the desert to life.

Longtable Park

Disney previously teased Cotino’s various parks, including Longtable Park. The park’s name comes from Walt Disney’s visits to Coachella Valley. He would join his neighbors for a group breakfast and conversation around a friendly long table.

This park will be available exclusively for those who live in Longtable Park residences for adults 55+. It will include the signature long table surrounded by palo verde and olive trees, as well as shaded lawn seating, barbecue grills, firepits, two bocce ball courts, and bird baths.

Model Homes

The first model homes are now under construction. Built by Shea Homes, these model homes will give future residents a glimpse of the Cotino community lifestyle with three different options. Some home designs will feature flex and loft spaces while also encouraging indoor-outdoor living with entry courtyards and covered terraces designed to immerse future residents in the beauty of the region.

There are different elevations and floorplans to choose from. More options are coming soon from additional homebuilders.
