The construction walls around the Worlds of Pixar backdrop at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris have come down, despite an incomplete refurbishment.

X (formerly Twitter) user, DLPReport shared the below images of the Worlds of Pixar backdrop area free of any construction walls. It’s clear in the photos that, while some of the backdrop has been fixed, other areas still have a long way to go.

This Worlds of Pixar area notably was covered in construction walls a mere three months after it was first unveiled to Disneyland Paris guests. The needed refurbishment was due to heavy peeling of the sticker application, along with cuts and ripples throughout.

In the above image, you can see the damage below Luca. In the photo DLPReport shared, you can see that the section has been replaced, meaning some sections of the area were fixed, while others remain damaged. In fact, some sections appear to have gotten worse compared to when the section was first walled off in October of 2023.

The “Up” balloon section is peeling in a number of sections, with dark lines throughout.

By comparison, above is a photo of what that same section looked like when the area was first closed for refurbishment. It is unclear if Disneyland Paris will continue to fix the impacted areas of the display.

Worlds of Pixar

First announced in April 2023, Worlds of Pixar took over Mickey’s Toontown “Toon Plaza” photo area in Walt Disney Studios Park. The section is essentially a photo opportunity area, with illustrations of Pixar characters new and old bursting out of windows of two buildings.
