Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park reopened for the season on March 17, 2024.
The two Walt Disney World water parks haven’t been open simultaneously since the resort reopened in summer 2020 following COVID-19 lockdowns. Blizzard Beach had its last operating day of the season on March 16 and is closed until further notice.
Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Reopens
Typhoon Lagoon has been closed since November 9, 2023.
There aren’t changes this season, but the park has been refurbished during its downtime.
The statue of Lagoona Gator is still at the entrance to the park.
Everything looked repainted and refreshed.
All attractions were open as scheduled this morning.
The story of Typhoon Lagoon is that the park used to be a tropical paradise until a typhoon struck, leaving wreckage and debris, which center around the shipwrecked Miss Tilly, who sits upon Mount Mayday.
Stitch was meeting and greeting guests. Today, he was at the front of the park, but he should return to the Board Room location.
Refurbished Rope Bridge
A bridge that takes guests over the lazy river, Castaway Creek, has been refurbished with new rope.
Some old rope is still in place but the majority has been replaced.
