In a now-deleted post on Instagram, Michael-Leon Wooley, who provided the voice of Louis in Disney’s animated film “The Princess and the Frog,” shared some insight on two character animatronics that will be part of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
‘The Princess and the Frog’ Cast Tease Louis and Charlotte Animatronics
Wooley’s Instagram Reel shared on March 6 included a “virtual ride through” of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a fan-made rendering previously posted on TikTok by user @theme_parkr.
In the caption, Wooley described what he’s seen of his character’s animatronic, saying,
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!!!
It’s going to be AMAZING!!!
Saw one of the animatronics of LOIUS [sic]!! Over 7 ft, weighing a ton with 35 motors making his arms, legs, tail, head and belly move. Disney Magic.

In the comments of his post, fellow “The Princess and the Frog” cast member Jennifer Cody, who voiced Charlotte La Bouff, said, “OMG!!!! So exciting.” Wooley responded that he had seen the Charlotte animatronic and that “she’s beautiful”.
Cody replied that she is visiting Walt Disney World in April to see the animatronic as well as Wooley, seemingly confirming an on-site visit before the Magic Kingdom version of the attraction opens this summer. Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro was spotted filming in front of the attraction late last month.
Cody has previously spoken out in support of the retheming of the former Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, citing that “it was about time the hateful and hurtful ride was taken down.”
We previously got a sneak peek of the Louis animatronic without his skin in September 2023, during Destination D23. The animatronic of Tiana in her new adventuring outfit was shown off last month, and has a physical face rather than a screen-based one.
Once it opens, the ride will feature 17 original audio-animatronic characters and other recognizable faces from “The Princess and the Frog” — including Louis and Charlotte.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens this summer at Magic Kingdom, and later this year at Disneyland Park.
