Disney Warns Against Third-Party Resellers for D23 Tickets

Toni Ferrigno

Disney is encouraging guests to avoid third-party resellers when purchasing tickets for the upcoming D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

D23 Third-Party Seller Warning

D23 note warning against resellers

In a new section added to the “Things to Know” portion of the D23 website, guests are warned against purchasing tickets from any sources outside of Disney. The full statement reads:

NOTE: Tickets purchased from any other sources may not be valid. D23 is not able to honor, replace or refund invalid tickets. D23 will provide an official opportunity to transfer tickets to other guests prior to the Event, however the recipient email must be associated with a valid D23 Member account to claim the transferred ticket.

When the ticket transfer process opens, D23 will be the only ticket service that is able to authenticate that a D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event ticket is valid. Other resellers may offer money-back guarantees, but they are unable to guarantee entry to the Event as they are not able to validate that a ticket or seat location is authentic.

We encourage guests to report fraudulent ticket sales to the point of purchase and consumer protection agencies.

Sold out D23 dates

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will take place August 9, 10, and 11 in Anaheim, California. With the event, currently fully sold out, guests who have not gotten tickets or are no longer able to use the tickets they purchased will have the ability to transfer tickets officially through Disney at a later time prior to the event. The date of this open transfer period has not yet been announced. The guest receiving the ticket(s) must have an email linked to a valid D23 Member account at the time of the transfer.
