Disney’s Hollywood Studios hosted a surprise character dance party on Monday with the stage erected last week for an upcoming private event.

The stage is for the June 5 SAP Sapphire & ASUG Annual Conference Orlando, which includes a Maroon 5 concert. Because of the conference, the park will close to regular guests at 5:30 p.m. Disney is taking advantage of the stage’s presence for a few days with a dance party featuring a DJ and characters.

The DJ was stationed on stage Monday morning. The stage is decorated with glittery banners featuring the Disney’s Hollywood Studios wordmark.

Dancers mingled with guests, encouraging them to dance. Phineas and Ferb both joined the party, too.

The characters took breaks every once in a while, just like with meet and greets. With the stage up for a few more days, there may be more impromptu dance parties with other characters.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios projection show “Wonderful World of Animation” is on hiatus due to the stage while the park’s second projection show, “Disney Movie Magic,” may have ended permanently.
