A new “Inside Out 2” pre-show is now performing ahead of “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure.

‘Inside Out 2’ Pre-Show at ‘World of Color – ONE’

The new “Emotional Rollercoaster” pre-show inspired by “Inside Out 2” premiered on May 31 at Disney California Adventure. The show features favorite characters from “Inside Out” and new characters from the upcoming “Inside Out 2”, which releases in theaters on June 14.

The pre-show begins with the “Inside Out 2” logo.

Joy, the main character in both films, makes numerous appearances throughout the show.

Eventually, Joy gives way to Anger as the water in the fountains turns red ahead of his grand entrance.

Anger screams as the fountains shoot high into the air and red lights illuminate behind him.

A flame erupts into the sky as the mist screen and Anger disappear.

Anxiety, a new character from “Inside Out 2”, makes her debut, as he and Joy share a mist screen.

Embarrassment, another new character from the upcoming film, appears in the show with Sadness.

Disgust, an original emotion from the first film, also appears in the show.

The show also features an external view of Riley, the teenage girl harboring all of these emotions inside of her.

Near the end of the show, many of the characters come together. Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust from “Inside Out” are joined by Anxiety, Envy, and Embarrassment from “Inside Out 2”.

This is not the first time a pre-show has run ahead of an iteration of “World of Color.” In 2023, a “Wish” pre-show ran to coincide with the release of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Last June, Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” was also featured in a pe-show ahead of its release.

“World of Color — ONE” runs nightly on Paradise Bay in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure. The nighttime show runs once or twice per night, depending on the day of the week, with showtimes of 9 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.

“Inside Out 2” releases in theaters on June 14, and many experts predict it will have the highest-grossing opening of any film this year.
