Two more lighting rigs are up at Universal Studios Florida for Halloween Horror Nights 33 and the first scare zone props have been installed.
HHN Lighting Towers
The two new lighting towers are located outside the entrance to Universal Studios Florida. They face the archway, so they will light the entrance and courtyard, giving the area a spooky ambiance.
There are four rows of different-sized lights on each tower. They sit on black wooden bases.
Scare Zone Props
The Central Park scare zone inside Universal Studios Florida is now decked out with props and set pieces. By the NBC Media Center are several “broken” boards, a random window shutter, two oil barrels, and a pointed craggy rock.
Parts of the fence along the walkway are covered in more broken boards and nets. There are fake corrugated panels with holes in them, too.
Periodically throughout the scare zone are the ends of rowboats that appear to be disappearing into circles of water. The water is depicted with hazy circular bases.
A sign lets guests know Universal is in the process of transforming the park for Halloween Horror Nights 33. The annual event begins on August 3.
Between a pair of sinking boats is a wooden catwalk structure. It looks like a dock but instead of water, some planters are underneath. Scareactors may stand on or hide below this structure.
Universal has only announced two scare zones so far: Swamp of the Undead and Torture Faire. They haven’t specified the scare zones’ locations, but this watery scare zone could be Swamp of the Undead, which has the following description:
In backwaters Louisiana, you unwittingly wander onto private property, where you’re swamped by zombies borne from the bodies of other trespassers who were killed and dumped in a nearby bog.
Another set of boards and nets is on the fence past the dock.
There are more broken boards, a shutter, and barrels by the Central Park entrance.
Another dock is in front of the NBC Media Center. This one has a metal barrel on top.
Another rowboat is sinking next to a gray rock.
One dock appears to be collapsing next to a sunken boat.
Halloween Horror Nights tickets are available now.
