Due to construction at his usual meeting place near Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, the Captain Jack Sparrow meet and greet will now be at a new Adventureland location in Magic Kingdom.

On today’s trip to Magic Kingdom, we noticed a line wrapping around the outside of the indefinitely closed Tortuga Tavern. As we passed by, we discovered Captain Jack Sparrow greeting guests beneath a balcony in the shade.

On the My Disney Experience app, the new meet and greet location is listed as “Adventureland, Near Tortuga Tavern.” This new location will serve as the Jack Sparrow meet and greet spot for the foreseeable future, as walls are prepped for installation at his old location.

Rumors indicate that these walls could mark the start of the construction of the Peg-Leg Pete lounge, though Disney has not made an official statement about this.

Captain Jack Sparrow used to meet in an alcove near Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, La Princesa de Cristal – Caribbean Plaza, and the Pirates of the Caribbean restrooms.

While construction walls have yet to directly impact Jack’s former alcove, some have already gone up inside the gift shop.
