Universal has opened the seasonal experience allowing guests to get their photo displayed in the next Universal Studios Florida Tribute Store. This gives us our first hint at theming for the Halloween Horror Nights 33 store, expected to open in the coming weeks (HHN begins on August 30).
Become Part of the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store
An A-frame sign advertises the Halloween Horror Nights experience. Guests can get their photo on one of these prop food products:
- Crate of Flavour: “Real” meat in a box!
This item features a reference to Eddie Schmidt, brother of Jack the Clown. He is usually portrayed with a chainsaw.
- Cretaceous Oil: A multipurpose oil used for dishwashing but NOT CARS
While not an overt reference, we believe that this item hearkens back to “Jurassic Park.”
- Llama Beans: Now with special Ham & Pineapple lumps!
It’s not a Tribute Store without a mention of Gerg the Llama, who is the source of the reference here for Gerg’s Llama Beans.
- Earl’s Coffee Beans: A unique blend of over 20+ nuts and legumes (and coffee)
Last but not least, this item references Earl the Squirrel, another mainstay in Tribute Store lore.
Guests can visit Five & Dime or the current Tribute Store in Universal Studios Florida, or the All Hallows Eve Boutique in Universal Islands of Adventure to participate. There are limited quantities. The products will then be displayed in the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store and sent to you once the event ends.
Guests who participate will receive a 24-inch by 46-inch poster. The vintage-style poster features imagery from previous Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Stores, including last year’s original character, The Curator. It notes the store is “All new every year” and advertises its “multiple rooms!”
Though you have to wait until the end of Halloween Horror Nights to get your food item, you can get your poster at the time of purchase.
Tickets are still available for Halloween Horror Nights 33.
