Disney confirmed that a new area themed to “The Lion King” will be coming to Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris.
‘The Lion King’ Land
The area will be called Pride Lands and will be based on the animated film, although the style of the concept art is reminiscent of the 2019 remake.
The land will feature a new ride themed around Simba and the rest of the animal kingdom. The attraction will be down in the caverns beneath Pride Rock and bring guests along for Simba’s journey from cub to king. The concept art shows a ride vehicle plummeting down a rushing waterfall, drawing obvious comparisons to the final drop of Splash Mountain / Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
The land will also have dining, shopping, and character meet and greets. It will be next to World of Frozen along the new Adventure Bay. World of Frozen will open in 2026.

A “Lion King” experience has been rumored for Disneyland Paris since at least 2022. Disney recently announced that, after a years-long reimagining, Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris will be renamed Disney Adventure World.
The park’s entrance area is becoming “World Premiere.” The park will also get a new nighttime spectacular. Disney teased earlier this year that work is already underway on the park’s next immersive world. Disneyland Paris teased D23 announcements and the Disney Adventure World model on display was mysteriously empty.
