For the first time ever in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will represent a cruise ship as its signature stern character. For the Disney Destiny, Spider-Man will take on the role.

The sculpture will feature Spider-Man slinging webs alongside his Spider-Bots, who can be seen attempting to paint a web-like filigree on the back of the ship. Two of the Spider-Bots have perfect cruise accessories: a life preserver and a snorkel mask.

The Disney Destiny will feature other Marvel touches, namely the “Black Panther”-inspired Grand Hall and a “Doctor Strange” lounge known as “The Sanctum.”

Other reveals for the ship from this week include a new AquaMouse story featuring Disney Villains, a Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, a Cruella de Vil lounge, a Haunted Mansion bar, cafes themed to Merida and Megara, an Edna Mode sweets shop, and a “The Lion King” dinner show. We also got the full list of every hero and villain that will appear on board the ship.

Disney Cruise Line has shared concept art for the ship’s staterooms as well, including inside, oceanview, and verandah staterooms, Royal Suites, concierge staterooms, and the Iron Man-themed Tower Suite.

The Disney Destiny will set sail on its inaugural sailings starting in November 2025 from Port Everglades. Bookings will be available for select guests starting in September 2024.
