The Torture Faire and Swamp of the Undead scare zones at Halloween Horror Nights 33 continue to take shape, as more decor and theming have been added ahead of the event’s opening.

Battery Park

A waterfront scene with two large water containers secured under a grey metal framework against a backdrop of buildings and rocky terrain.

More trusses have been erected in Battery Park. We previously reported two screens and light fixtures had been installed in this area.

Large outdoor structure with a tiered green roof and four rectangular black screens flanked by metal trusses on a red brick ground.

Stands made of the same metal material as the trusses have been installed beneath the green structure in Battery Park. Lights have also been installed above the middle stand. Black screens have been erected behind each stand.

Covered outdoor structure with metal framework and rectangular platforms arranged in symmetrical layout on red brick flooring. Trees and buildings visible in the background.

The stands run along both sides of the structure, but you can’t see one side from the other because of the black screens. Each stand features a cutout with a countertop.

Swamp of the Undead

A wooden treehouse with a rustic design, elevated by a platform and accessed by a short staircase, surrounded by trees and foliage.

It’s been a while since we checked on the treehouse in the Swamp of the Undead scare zone. In our last update of the prop, there wasn’t much beyond the structure. Now, more minor details have been added.

The treehouse porch features a new creepy windchime that hangs above a decrepit wooden chair.

A weathered wooden structure with broken windows has a wind chime hanging from the eave. The background shows leafy tree branches.

A closer look at the windchime reveals that most of the item is made from bones.

A weathered, wooden treehouse stands elevated on stilts among trees, partially obscured by surrounding foliage. Adjacent is a stucco building with a tiled roof.

Clothes have been added to the clothesline on the side of the treehouse. While the clothes may be drying, they certainly aren’t clean.

If you’re looking for more Swamp of the Undead updates, we recently reported that an airboat had been uncovered in this scare zone.

First Haunted House Portal and Wait Time Sign

A gated driveway flanked by two trees and temporary structures with screens positioned on either side. A cylindrical structure is visible to the right. The area is bordered by greenery.

TV screens have been installed on a truss near Men in Black: Alien Attack. These screens will reveal the name and wait time of a haunted house when Halloween Horror Nights 33 begins on August 30. We don’t know which haunted house will be at this location yet.

Torture Faire

The Torture Faire scare zone continues to take shape, as even more torture devices and props have been added. In our last update, we discovered the Terra Cruentus symbol on a themed barricade. Perhaps the Terra Queen will make an appearance this year?

While the wooden thrones on the main Torture Faire stage aren’t new, we did notice new props hanging from the scaffolding near the top left portion of the stage.

A wooden structure with ropes and pulleys, adorned with skeletal decorations and a banner featuring a sun emblem and "2024," set against a partly cloudy sky.

These props include hooks and worn-out ropes which dangle from the edge of the wooden frame.

A wooden basket with apples and pumpkins sits on a bale of hay, surrounded by barrels and rustic decor.

Some of the fruit that has spilled out of one of the buckets is rotten and withering away. Next to the hay bale, two arrows sit inside of a bucket.

Two wooden barrels, one smaller with a pumpkin and gourd on top, are placed on a wooden deck near a building entrance.

On one side of the stage, a rotten pumpkin and gourd sit on top of a small keg in front of a larger one. There is no plug in the bottom of the larger keg.

Sahara Traders

A display featuring crates, greenery, and various props, including an old book and vintage suitcases, is arranged around a decorated pillar in a dimly lit room. Two people are in the background.

More props have been added to the display at Sahara Traders, the exit gift shop for Revenge of the Mummy. In our last update, the box on top of the “FathomCorp” crate was tied up. Now, it’s open.

A wooden crate filled with decorative plants, vines, and a plush parrot with a red eye light. Additional crates and greenery surround the main crate.

A memo to “all museum staff” asks them to refrain from leaving half-opened deliveries in the museum due to theft.

A wooden framed collage features black-and-white newspaper clippings, highlighting stories on giant rats, renovations and repairs to toilets, pizzerias, warehouses, and subway stations.

Three more newspaper clippings have been stapled to the inside of a wooden frame. All three of the clippings feature bad news for residents of New York City.

A Quiet Place Food Booth – Sting Alley

Outdoor area with brick buildings and red wooden structures. A black signboard and a shipping container with the text "MOTION PICTURE" are also visible. Street signs mark the intersection of two streets.

A new food booth has been added outside of Sting Alley. It’s next to two red structures that are shaped like the sides of a barn. Both structures feature red doors with white trim.

An empty sidewalk booth with a red frame and a sign reading "Lennox Steel," with one-way and no parking signs nearby, situated on a street with a few people in the background.

The food booth features a “Lennox Steel” logo, a reference to “A Quiet Place.” Steel has taken over some of the design inside the red frame, though some brown paneling is still there.

A narrow cobblestone alleyway with red and blue construction barriers ahead. Brick buildings with signage for a hardware store and boxing gym are visible on either side.

We went down Sting Alley to explore other food booths and props throughout the location. We turned back to see the “Pardon our Dust” sign sitting between the two red barn-like structures.

A wooden structure with a window stands in a brick-paved alley, adjacent to a red dresser and an old brick building with metal fire escapes.

Further down the alley, a wooden facade has been erected. It’s brown with white trim and a white window.

A bright red dresser with four drawers is placed in an urban alleyway between brick buildings. A wooden frame with posters is attached above the dresser. A yellow poster is on the right wall.

Next to the facade is a red and white booth. The bottom of the booth is designed to look like a dresser with drawers.

This location will serve sangria. Two containers are wrapped in plastic on a ledge in the back of the booth. One of the containers will serve “Sangria Rosado” and the other will serve “Sangria Blanco.”

A closed wooden market stall with a red counter stands in a cobblestone alley surrounded by brick buildings and metal staircases.

As we continued through Sting Alley, we discovered another food booth. This one is also brown with white trim. The serving counter once again depicts a dresser, but this one has twice as many drawers as the sangria booth. A white curtain blocks the window.

A narrow alleyway with brick buildings, signs, and a red wooden barrier with "Be Quiet! Exit Only" painted on it. The scene appears to be a themed area with various business signs hanging above.

At the end of Sting Alley, a red fence has been erected. Gray paint reads, “Be Quiet!! Exit Only.”

Dead Coconut Club

The image shows the exterior of the Red Coconut Club, featuring colorful signage and modern architecture under a blue sky with scattered clouds. The building has a prominent central pillar, giving it an eye-catching presence reminiscent of a lively Torture Faire.

Banners have been hung from Red Coconut Club, as the location begins its transformation to Dead Coconut Club.

Two black and light blue Blumhouse banners hang on long stretches of balcony on the second floor of the club. Two blue “Dead Coconut Club” banners hang from the circular balcony above the Red Coconut Club marquee.

A banner reads "Dead Coconut Club featuring Blumhouse" hanging on a building with architectural elements visible in the background, evoking the eerie vibe of a Torture Faire.

The “Dead Coconut Club Featuring Blumhouse” banners are blue. The crossed t in “coconut” drips blood. “Coconut” is also underlined. Two fangs hang off the bottom of the underline.

The top of the banner features a set of blue and red teeth open in front of a trapezoid design. Blue blood drips from a few of the top teeth.

World Expo

A blue mobile unit with Universal branding is parked outside. Several vintage posters are displayed on its side, reminiscent of a bygone Torture Faire, with trees and a partially visible black structure in the background.

The Expo Circle food trailer has been added to its usual location. The blue trailer has two windows. Silhouettes of peaks from around the resort are gray against the light blue backdrop. These peaks include the Pharos Lighthouse, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, and Krakatau.

Black condiment stations have been added next to the trailer.

A blue food truck displays colorful posters advertising various attractions, food items, and theme parks, including sandy beaches, roller coasters, and even a quirky Torture Faire.

To the left of the trailer’s large window, there are three posters representing each of the three theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort and food found at each. The “Enjoy Beautiful Volcano Bay” poster features a cheeseburger, wrap, and sushi. The “Universal Studios Florida” poster features tacos, pizza, and fish and chips.
