Progress on the Adventureland pavement refurbishment continues in Magic Kingdom, with the work now extending past the entrance to the Swiss Family Treehouse.
Adventureland Pavement Refurbishment
Heading across the bridge into Adventureland, the pavement by the merchandise kiosks hasn’t changed, with some gray still remaining.
The gray pavement edges around the kiosk and the stone seating area along the left side of the path.
As of today, the new themed pavement now extends into the entrance of Swiss Family Treehouse and beyond, extending just past the Guest Experience Team umbrella and inching ever closer to the breezeway between Adventureland and Frontierland.
Stanchions surround the most recently added section of pavement, preventing guests from walking through. Disney crews will typically rope off areas where new pavement has been added until it is ready for guest traffic.
Some of the green mossy texture has been added around the edge of a planter by the Guest Experience Team umbrella. Tiny animal paw and claw prints are also embedded in the walkway, matching the rest of the area that’s already been refurbished.
In our last update, the pavement had not yet reached the Swiss Family Treehouse side of the walkway. Here, you can see where the latest progress has paused. It’s possible we could see some scoring at the remaining gray concrete here in a matter of days to prepare for the next addition of themed pavement.
While the refurbishment has caused a few bottleneck situations since its start, crews appear to be doing one side of the walkway at a time to minimize effects on guest flow.
