“Inside Out 2” is coming to Disney+ on September 25. The film, which was released in theaters on June 14, scored the second-largest opening in animated film history, finishing behind Pixar’s “Incredibles 2.”

Since its fantastic opening weekend, the film has gone on to become the highest-grossing animated movie ever. It is currently the eighth-highest-grossing film in history and, at the time of writing, has a worldwide gross of $1.67 billion.

Five animated characters from the movie "Inside Out" stand around a control panel with concerned and surprised expressions. The scene is brightly colored with a focus on the characters' reactions, hinting at possible events in the highly anticipated Disney+ release of Inside Out 2.

Thanks to the film’s success, the world of “Inside Out” will continue to grow. During an interview with “Good Morning America”, Disney CEO Bob Iger teased the possibility of a third installment in the franchise. This news came shortly after the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event announcement that “Dream Productions“, a new series set between “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2,” would be coming to Disney+ in 2025.

“Inside Out 2” is currently Certified Fresh on RottenTomatoes with scores of 91% from critics and 95% from audiences. It also sports a 73 Metacritic score.
