Hello, it’s me, Nana, back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios again. Yes, I was there yesterday, and about 20 hours later, I am back. On September 9, James Earl Jones, who was the voice of Darth Vader and Mufasa, passed away. Today, I am here to do a little Darth Vader tribute tour and my regular loop.

The image shows Crossroads of the World, a tall structure with a globe on top, set against a clear blue sky and surrounded by buildings and palm trees at the entrance of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I started with Star Wars Launch Bay to see Darth Vader. I love Launch Bay, but that place is not getting any love at all. However, it does have nice air conditioning and some benches to sit on, so it’s a great place to cool off. That being said, I miss the old Magic of Disney Animation show and tour. I still remember the day I met Baymax and Hiro from “Big Hero 6” there.

Digital sign at Disney's Hollywood Studios, 9/10/2024, with operating hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, displaying wait times: "Encounter Darth Vader 25 minutes," "Meet Chewbacca 25 minutes," and "Meet BB-8 20 minutes." PHOTO REPORT shows the excitement in the air.

Meeting Darth Vader had a 30-minute wait, but I think I waited only 15 minutes.

A person dressed in a black costume and cape, resembling Darth Vader from Star Wars, stands in a futuristic hallway with illuminated panels on the walls at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This snapshot is from our 9/10/2024 PHOTO REPORT.

We said hi and got some scans done with him. (It’s not called “taking pictures” with Darth Vader, it’s a “scan.”)

I then left Launch Bay and walked over to Star Tours. Here is my baby AT-AT’s portrait.

The day the new Ahsoka Tano scene was added, I had to ride Star Tours four times in three hours to see all the new scenes. The Cast Members kept seeing me riding, so they must’ve thought I really wanted to be the rebel spy… so they made me the rebel spy.

A digital display inside a dark room shows an image of a person with text in a foreign script above and below them. Nearby, there is a partial view of an aircraft, reminiscent of the themed experiences at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Yes, you can laugh at this picture.

A dark-robed figure stands at the forefront of a large group of armored soldiers in a futuristic, green-lit environment, reminiscent of a scene one might find in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I was hoping we would get Darth Vader on this ride, but we got my Star Wars Boo, Kylo Ren. Yes, I love Adam Driver. (I did not like how Kylo ended up with Rey, though…)

Employees stand behind a counter in a retail store at Disney's Hollywood Studios, decorated with various framed items and memorabilia on the walls.

Disney announced that Limited Edition StarSpeeder 3000 Vehicle Play Set from D23 will be released at Tatooine Traders this week. I popped in to check in case they accidentally released it early, but they did not.

People walking and talking near the themed attraction entrance with sci-fi elements and greenery surrounding. Overhead wires and small structures are visible under a partly cloudy sky in Disney's Hollywood Studios, as captured in our photo report from 9/10/2024.

Walking into Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was a 45-minute wait. I was here yesterday at pretty much the same time and the wait was shorter. The park is still slow if you compare crowds with those from this summer. However, when there’s a party at Magic Kingdom, that park will be super duper slow, and other parks will get busier. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was only a 30-minute wait and TRON Lightcycle / Run was 30 minutes this morning at 10 a.m.

A robot skeleton stands behind a metal fence in an industrial-themed environment with a red and white banner on the wall. Two people in white shirts work in the background, captured perfectly for a photo report on 9/10/2024 from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

My Ronto bot was working hard as usual, non-stop like I do. He deserves a day off… I feel bad.

A group of people exploring a themed, dimly-lit room decorated with a variety of hanging lanterns, vintage tools, and assorted objects on the walls at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Be sure to capture this enchanting scene for the PHOTO REPORT due on 9/10/2024.

If you read my Disney Princess Diary from yesterday… You know Dok-Ondar was back from a long vacation. Aaaaaaaand, guess what! He is GONE again!! He is a busy guy, I guess. We will see when he’ll be back.

People gather in a dimly lit room with industrial decor, engaging in various activities ideal for a photo report. The area features pipes and numbered stations along the wall, reminiscent of an attraction you might find at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I stopped by Droid Depot to see if we got the new parts for droids like Batuu West did, but not yet. Our search continues.

People sitting at outdoor tables near a structure and trees on a sunny day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Now stepping into Toy Story Land! Guests are still having lunch by the border of Batuu and Toy Story Land. I have no clue how long it will take to put down the new pavement and finish the new seating area.

I feel so weird eating Woody’s Lunch Box food by Batuu’s wall, staring at Toy Story Land. I totally understand that Toy Story Land doesn’t have much space, so this was the only option. This land doesn’t have many places to cool off or sit down in general, and it always feels like it’s 10 degrees hotter there.

People walk along a path lined with palm trees, leading up to a tall, pink tower that resembles an old, elaborate hotel at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The sky is clear with a few clouds, and various structures and kiosks are visible. PHOTO REPORT: 9/10/2024.

After I was done being Andy’s toy in the backyard, I made my way to Sunset Boulevard. The weather is much nicer than yesterday. Florida blue sky is here!

A red floral-patterned shirt hangs on a rack in a store with decorative carpet flooring at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Several people stand nearby, some wearing shorts and casual clothing. 9/10/2024 photo report.

When I checked Tower Hotel Gifts, I noticed that the Tower of Terror pajama sets are selling out quickly. They only had three left when I looked.

A large guitar decorates the entrance of a building at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with visitors gathered and walking around the area. Palm trees and a poster featuring a musician are also visible. Capture this lively scene in your photo report on 9/10/2024.

Lot’s of people still don’t know that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is fully back and operating! Our “unofficial intern” went to ride it as a single rider… She loved it. The wait was 50 minutes but as a single rider, she only waited about 20 minutes.

On the left, a display of Disney-themed merchandise. On the right, a person takes a mirror selfie wearing Minnie Mouse ear headbands at Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/10/2024 for a PHOTO REPORT.

I did not see any new merchandise in stores on Sunset Boulevard. But in Celebrity 5&10, they have the new collection for Disney Eats! I am highly considering getting the ears.

Two Disney character mascots: Pluto on the left, posing with his hands on his face, and Daisy Duck on the right, sporting a floral headband inside an indoor setting at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This delightful photo report captures their playful spirits perfectly on 9/10/2024.

Those “foodie ears” come in handy, especially when you are meeting with characters. If you love to meet with characters but don’t know what to say, bring food-themed ears and you will have a great interaction with them.

A tall sign at Disney’s Hollywood Studios reads “Crossroads of the World” against a backdrop of blue sky with scattered clouds. People can be seen walking and gathering at the entrance, setting the perfect scene for a 9/10/2024 photo report.

Oh well, this will conclude Nana’s Disney Princess Diary (aka photo report) from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Thank you for reading! You won’t read (see) me for the next few days (yay!) but will be right back to bring a chuckle to your day this weekend. I hope you guys will have a fantastic week!
