Walt Disney World is now testing plastic reusable cups and mugs at counter service dining locations to potentially replace the current paper products in use.

We spotted the new plastic items in use at Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Two clear plastic cups and a ceramic cup with a handle on a kitchen counter, with stainless steel appliances in the background.

Currently, there are two different sizes of clear cups and a tan and brown mug available.

According to Cast Members, this is a test and if successful, could see the plastic drinkware expand to the rest of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Regular plastic and paper cups are still in use in the park at this time, though.

Three waste bins labeled Trash, Compost, and Recycle stand on a stone surface, just like you might find at Walt Disney World. Lush greenery is visible in the background.

We also noticed a new compost bin has been added outside the restaurant. Currently, Satu’li Canteen is composting utensils and napkins. Walt Disney World previously tested compostable cups, cutlery, and more at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2021.

  1. Whatever will Costco hem less is what Disney will choose. All under the pretend cover of going green.
Wonder if liberals will ever realize that companies use going green as an excuse to cut costs and raise prices.
