As work continues on the Haunted Mansion grounds expansion at Disneyland Park, the beginnings of structural walls and roofing have been installed at the new carriage house-themed retail space.
Haunted Mansion Carriage House Shop Construction
Last month, the framework was erected for the Haunted Mansion carriage house shop. We noticed that boards were added to the steel framework at the beginning of October. Now even more progress has been made on the newest Disneyland shop.
First, we noticed that the building is now almost entirely enclosed. The roof now has black tarping, likely in preparation for the roof tile installation. We also noticed that the building itself has walls where plywood boards were previously.
Here is a closer look at the cut-out window in the center. It appears that the window framing has been completed, but the window has not been installed yet, leaving just the opening.
The walls appear to be made from steel siding. It even looks as though there was work done on the overhang with the installation of some facia.
From this angle of the carriage house shop, we can see that this side does not have the steel siding yet. However, it does appear the entire roof has been covered in that black tarp.
Scaffolding remains in place, as the shop is still very much a work in progress.
