RUMOR: Jellyrolls Piano Bar Set to Close at Disney’s BoardWalk

The popular piano bar Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk is reportedly closing in 2025.

Jellyrolls Piano Bar Reportedly Closing

The exterior of a building glows at night with the lit "JELLYROLLS" sign and a red canopy, hinting at its lively character. Other neon signs flicker in the background, suggesting hints of stories like JellyRolls' recent PPP loan whispers circulating in the air.

Sources indicate that Jellyrolls will close on or around January 1, 2025, to make way for a new, Disney-operated Jazz club as part of the larger ongoing overhaul of the BoardWalk area. Recent years have seen many changes, including updating the BoardWalk Inn lobby, the opening of the BoardWalk Deli, BoardWalk Ice Cream, and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. Big River Grille and Brewing Works closed earlier in 2024.

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers was supposed to open in 2023, but was delayed until this year. The closure of Jellyrolls was supposedly always scheduled for after the Cake Bake Shop finally opened, which it has.

Jellyrolls is currently in its 29th year of operation (since the BoardWalk first opened) and features dueling pianists. Admission is only for guests aged 21+, and there is a cover charge. It is one of the last original venues in the area as Spoodles, ESPN Club, and Seashore Sweets have all been shuttered and replaced over the years.

Of course, all of the information above is purely speculative at this time and nothing has been confirmed at this time by Disney, nor by the third-party company that currently operates the establishment.

  1. If they take Jellyrolls away I just might lose my mind. We have jazz available elsewhere in WDW?! I am tired of Disney always giving us one thing while taking away two others. If this rumor is true I will be very unhappy 😤

  2. Yes, yet another recent mistake by Disney. The place has been there for decades. I understand it’s a business, and I’m sure some nights aren’t as busy as others, but whatever they put there better be good.

  3. Please say it isn’t so. This makes me incredibly sad. Our grown kids love to visit there. We love it too. One of the hidden gems of the area.

  4. It is very unfortunate that Jelly Rose is closing in Disney boardwalk. I and several local residents were turned away from coming and parking in the boardwalk and I am positive this trent is getting on the nerves of locals due to which the businesses are losing customers

  5. Jellyrolls is past it’s best days & needs to be replaced. It’s gotten run down, the staff is not particularly friendly & pianists don’t know as many songs as they had in the past. Cover charge sucks especially when you can’t get a song in or are not into the songs others request. Good riddance Jellyrolls!

  7. NOOOOO! This is devastating if true. I love Jelly Rolls and have been going there for over 20 years. It is always crowded and the vibe is friendly and fun. The pianists are so talented. Please Disney, consider keeping Jelly Rills open!!
