An annual tradition at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is the Candlelight Processional, a retelling of the traditional Christmas story. The performance is led by a celebrity narrator with the help of a Cast Member choir, 50-piece orchestra, and more.
2024 Candlelight Processional
The celebrity narrator changes throughout the season but the first night was hosted by Josh Gad (known best by Disney fans as Olaf from “Frozen”).
The Voices of Liberty dress in special green and red robes, forming a Christmas tree behind the narrator’s podium. They are joined by a choir of Cast Members who have volunteered to participate. Sometimes, local high school choir students join the group.
Fittingly for the name, the choir files into the amphitheater with candles in hand.
The celebrity narrator tells the Biblical story of the birth of Christ while the choir and orchestra perform religious holiday songs.
