First Look at ‘Moana 2’ Water Short Coming to ‘World of Color – Season of Light’ at Disney California Adventure

Disneyland Resort has shared a first look at the new “Moana 2” water short that will be performed before “World of Color – Season of Light” at Disney California Adventure this holiday season.

Shared on social media, these images depict Moana, Hei Hei, Maui, and more in scenes from “Moana 2.”

The new water short is titled “Boat Snack,” and will be presented before “World of Color – Season of Light” starting November 15.

The upcoming film takes place three years after the events of the original film, and sees Moana and Maui reunite after the former received an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors. “Moana 2” is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, with new music by Grammy winners Barlow & Bear, along with Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa’i, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.

The sequel to the 2016 film hits theaters on November 27, 2024, and tickets are on sale now. Regal Cinemas and AMC Theatres are both offering special souvenir sippers, popcorn buckets, and more to celebrate the film’s release.
