With the opening of The Haunted Mansion’s expanded grounds, the ride also got a new ADA-accessible exit.

Disney announced with their reveal of the new outdoor queue that guests using a mobility device can now use the main Haunted Mansion queue and entrance. After riding, those guests will leave using a new, accessible hallway and elevator featuring a gallery of original Imagineering artwork.

X user @CritterClubHQ shared photos of the new accessible hallway and elevator.

The hallway features damask wallpaper similar to the wallpaper inside the ride. It’s lined with portraits of various Haunted Mansion characters, between illuminated sconces and below small windows.

In the wood-paneled elevator, there is currently a portrait of Sally from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” an extension of the current Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.

Outside, a crypt hides the elevator.

The Haunted Mansion closed in January 2024 and reopened with the holiday overlay in July. Since then, it has used a virtual queue while construction continued outside. The expanded grounds are now open and the new Madame Leota-themed gift shop will open this winter.
