Soarin’ Around the World has quietly debuted new updates to its ride film at EPCOT, adding World Celebration to its ending and updating the Eiffel Tower sequence.

Eiffel Tower Scene Update

The Eiffel Tower illuminated at night with a cityscape in the background and a blue beam of light extending from its top.

Due to the curvature of the screen, the Eiffel Tower always appeared crooked or standing at an angle. Now, the entire sequence has been updated, starting the approach to the Eiffel Tower much further away than before, offering a more straightened view of the monument.

World Celebration Scene Update

Nighttime view of a purple-lit geodesic sphere in the distance with a monorail in the foreground.

Just like the previous Future World ending scene, the Walt Disney World Monorail is seen going by as riders approach Spaceship Earth.

However, rather than approaching the former Fountain of Nations and Pin Central, the film now shows World Celebration, and the illuminated EPCOT symbol embedded into the ground around a large planter (which have not been working for months).

Tinker Bell still appears as before, flying about the screen.

A large, spherical structure illuminated in purple is set against a dark night sky with colorful fireworks overhead.

Fireworks stilll explode in the sky behind Spaceship Earth, as well.

A large geodesic sphere is illuminated at night with fireworks in the background, resembling the silhouette of Mickey Mouse.

Two final fireworks appear to make Spaceship Earth into a hidden Mickey, serving as its “ears.”

Overall, we also noticed the film was sharper and clearer, indicating a general upgrade to the entire experience in addition to these changes.
