The art on the print is by former Imagineer Nikkolas Smith and depicts the young Mufasa staring at his reflection in a pool of water.

Guests with valid Annual Passes can pick up the postcard print from December 8-18 at Chester & Hester’s Dino Treasures. Only one postcard is permitted per Passholder, who must be present and show their valid pass.

An Annual Passholder proudly displays a Mufasa postcard, set against the vibrant backdrop of a Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba statue in Animal Kingdom's lush outdoor setting.

“Mufasa: The Liong King” is a prequel to the so-called live action “The Lion King” (2019). It will have its theatrical debut on December 20, 2024. Aaron Pierre stars as Mufasa and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka (Scar), as well as several actors reprising their roles from “The Lion King.”

In honor of “Mufasa,” Disney recently announced the relaunch of their “Protect the Pride” campaign, aimed at rehabilitating and repopulating Africa’s lions, whose numbers have shrunk to half of what they were when the animated “The Lion King” was released.
