Disneyland is throwing a real anniversary party and inviting a fake Walt?

Disneyland turns 70 in 2025, and in honor of Walt Disney’s 123rd birthday, they spilled the beans on all the offerings for the big celebration! We get to say hello again to the Paint the Night Parade, but apparently, that means goodbye to Magic Happens. We’ll also see a special version of World of Color and the unveiling of the very controversial Walt Disney animatronic. Are you for or against this? Our panel has thoughts, too. We’ll also take a look at the rest of 2025 that Disneyland has laid out, and discuss when might be the best time to visit in 2025.

Over in Orlando, they announced some opening timeframes for some of the smaller projects coming next year. Vague timeframes were offered as updates on such projects as the Spaceship Earth Lounge, the new Pirates Tavern in Adventureland, the Zootopia takeover at Animal Kingdom, and new name and logo reveals for the much anticipated nighttime parade. We’ll rundown the list and get you ready!

Meanwhile, there have been some hiccups in some of Disney World’s larger projects. The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, has requested a 60-day extension to update their permit regarding the transformation of the Rivers of America in Magic Kingdom into a “Cars” area, which could further delay that project. Then, over at Dinoland, South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) has requested additional information about Disney’s permit for the Tropical Americas land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Both are huge and highly anticipated!

Back at EPCOT, the Festival of the Holidays is finally here. Beginning the day after Thanksgiving, this year has more to do than ever! Our team will talk about past favorites, must dos, and brand new offerings for the 2024 holiday season at the park. We’ll also cover some of the latest holiday announcements in our final holiday report of the year.

Also, Moana 2 is being celebrated in the parks, Downtown Disney in California continues to evolve, and the original Disneyland Haunted Mansion queue updates ar in place, with more to come! Plus – a Disney hotel update, Lightning Lane news, and we complain about a very sad Communicore Hall!

Join us for all of this tonight on ParksCenter!
