What is a Disney Dining Plan?
Dining plans are a way to pre-pay for meals and snacks at select venues across Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney describes the Dining Plan as:
Think of our dining plans as a way to say hello to delicious eats and goodbye to on-the-spot budgeting for food. We have two options, the Quick Service Dining Plan and the Dining Plan, which include a certain number of meals and snacks based on the number of nights you stay. You purchase the dining plan as part of a vacation package before your trip, so when you’re on vacation, you can enjoy your meals with your loved ones without looking at the price tags.
See some tips from Walt Disney World below for using a Dining Plan.
What’s Coming to Walt Disney World in 2025?
2025 will bring many new offerings to Walt Disney World in addition to the free dining plan offer. From free water park tickets to new entertainment, there’s something for everyone in your party to enjoy.
In 2025, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will receive free admission to either Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park on their check-in day. Both of Disney’s water parks alternate operations depending on the time of year, so the admission guests receive can vary.
A new nighttime parade is finally coming to Magic Kingdom with “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.” Lighting up the night in summer 2025, this new parade will feature favorite Disney animated films like “Peter Pan,” “Encanto,” “Frozen,” “Moana,” and more. The Blue Fairy from “Pinocchio” will “weave the transformative magic of starlight through each float and every costume in the parade.”
This will be the first nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom (other than holiday parades during the after-hours parties) since the “Main Street Electrical Parade” ended its run in 2016.
A new stage show featuring all your favorite baddies, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After,” will take over Sunset Showcase, which formerly housed the now-defunct “Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy,” in summer 2025.
This new show will include appearances by Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent, breaking through the glass of the Magic Mirror’s realm to take the stage in live production numbers.
Also opening in summer 2025 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” a new stage show taking over the former “Voyage of the Little Mermaid” theater. Originally supposed to open in fall 2024, the revamped musical will feature numerous new puppets and motion-capture characters.
The reimagined Test Track 3.0 will open to guests in late summer 2025 at EPCOT. The attraction will revert to its General Motors sponsorship rather than Chevrolet (a division of GM). Imagineering and GM are also collaborating on an “all-new storyline” for the ride. Check out our latest construction update on the ride’s exterior.
