A new Epic Universe store is under construction at the Orlando International Airport (MCO).

An airport seating area with promotional banners for Universal Epic Universe and Universal Orlando Resort. Passengers sit on teal sofas, and luggage is nearby.

Epic Universe theming is up around the storefront sometimes used as a seasonal Universal holiday store, suggesting Universal has signed a longer contract with MCO for the space. It’s located next to the regular Universal Studios Store in Terminal A/B. It wasn’t open yet when we were at the airport on Monday, December 16.

The entryway is surrounded by blue paneling featuring golden celestial designs. The curved wall on the left is blue and sparkly. An illuminated “Universal Epic Universe” sign is above the entrance.

A screen mounted on the left side of the entrance displays Epic Universe concept art and advertises various offerings at the new theme park.

Another Universal store is located in Terminal C. An Epic Universe preview center is open at CityWalk.

Epic Universe is scheduled to open to the public on May 22, 2025. There will be a soft opening for Passholders. Epic Universe will feature an in-park hotel and five themed lands: Celestial Park, Dark Universe (Universal Monsters), How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and Super Nintendo World. Tickets went on sale this fall.
