Disneyland has cut back on performances of “Fantasmic!” scheduled in the new year.
2025 ‘Fantasmic!’ Schedule
This fall, Disney reduced “Fantasmic!” performances to mostly weekends at Disneyland Park. This was the first time the show did not perform seven days a week for the full holiday season — though it will perform every day from Friday, December 20 through Monday, December 30.
The show will skip New Year’s Eve, and then perform every day from Wednesday, January 1 through Monday, January 6, according to the “Fantasmic!” webpage. The webpage then lists performances on Friday, January 10, and Saturday, January 11. The calendar continues through January 29 with no further times listed.
The calendar for Fantasmic! Dining Packages in the Disneyland app lists more performances — but not a very consistent schedule. Firstly, it doesn’t show availability on Monday, January 6, even though the online calendar states “Fantasmic!” will perform that day.
As for the rest of the month and February, performances are scheduled for January 17-19, 24-25, January 31, February 1, February 7-8, and February 14-16. In other words, all Fridays and Saturdays, and three Sundays. The dining packages calendar currently ends after February 16.
“Fantasmic!” is at 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on performance dates.
The nighttime spectacular returned to Disneyland in May 2024, a year after a fire destroyed the Maleficent dragon. The show has since experienced various technical issues, including rogue fireworks and Mickey’s finger fireworks misfiring. For three months, it was performed with limited pyrotechnics.
The limited “Fantasmic!” performance dates coincide with a significant cut to Disneyland Resort entertainment. Union stunt actors were cut from the Spider-Man Stuntronic show. “Dr. Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts” closed permanently this summer. Performances of “Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje,” Citizens of Buena Vista Street, and other entertainment offerings were reduced. During Pixar Fest, Club Pixar ended early. The Magic Happens parade also ended its 2024 run early.
