The first of several new Universal Orlando Resort signs has been installed near Epic Universe.
New Universal Orlando Sign at Epic Universe
This sign is on the corner of Epic Blvd and Destination Pkwy, not far from the new elevated traffic circle guests will use to enter Epic Universe. The sign has a similar design to the old signs, which have all been removed around the other Universal theme parks. The center is blue with the Universal Orlando Resort globe logo.
Frames fan out from the sides of the blue section. The tops of these frames are painted yellow and the base of the sign is blue. According to the designs released in October, the frames will be fully painted yellow.
The frame on the far left appears to already hold the first of a series of digital screens. The new LED screens are the biggest change from the previous Universal Orlando signs. They will cycle through different videos, animations, and information. Represented IPs will include “Jurassic Park,” “Shrek,” “Harry Potter,” “Trolls,” and “Kung Fu Panda.”
The other new signs will be at these locations:
- Turkey Lake Road and Hollywood Way
- Universal Boulevard and Hollywood Way
- South Kirkman Road and Major Boulevard
- Vineland Road and Universal Boulevard
Universal did not announce an official timeline for the construction of the new signs, but with Epic Universe opening on May 22, 2025, we expect this sign to be complete by then, if not sooner.
