During our recent visit to Universal Studios Florida, we noticed a floral bucket had returned to Poppy’s Playground in DreamWorks Land.
Poppy’s Playground
Just a couple of weeks ago, Poppy’s Playground was closed with ropes blocking the entrance with signs saying “Temporarily out of service.” Red boxes covered the spots where the floral buckets once sat. As of December 23, the boxes still covered all those spots.
On December 26, we noticed that one of the boxes had been removed and the pink and green floral bucket is back in place.
The floral bucket has a pink base with silver spots. The top is green with silver and yellow rings just beneath it. There are also green vines that connect to the floral bucket’s top and extend up to the large red mushroom at the center of the playground.
The bucket has holes on either side to allow guests to crawl through. On the floor inside the bucket is is yellow flower icon with a green edge. So far this is the only bucket that has returned, while the red construction boxes remain in the spot where the other two usually sit.
It’s unclear what refurbishment was done to this bucket, if anything. The exterior is covered in scratch marks and other wear, and the base shows signs of its removal in the turf. It’s possible that the refurbishment is not related to the flower bucket at all, but rather the spot on the ground beneath it.
Poppy’s Playground is a small play area in DreamWorks Land that has a decent amount of shade thanks to the giant mushroom towering over the area. The space is made up of small bouncing and climbing structures which makes it ideal for smaller children.
