LEGO Store Reopens With New Disney Attractions Inspired Posters

On our recent visit to the Downtown Disney District, we noticed new Disney attraction inspired posters at the LEGO Store.

LEGO Store Mock Attraction Posters

The LEGO store has put its own twist on classic Disney attraction posters. Displayed in the store windows, guests can view posters of iconic Disney attractions with LEGO-style inspiration, including Peter Pan’s Flight, Indiana Jones Adventure, and The Haunted Mansion.

In the Peter Pan’s Flight inspired poster, Big Ben can be seen towering into the sky with Tinkerbell hovering above. Right beside them is a pirate ship carrying Peter Pan and Wendy leaving a trail of pixie dust. The Indiana Jones Adventure poster features none other than Indy himself with his famous whip in hand and LEGO people aboard a troop transport traveling through the Chamber of Destiny.

The Haunted Mansion poster features the ever “ghoulish” Hitchhiking Ghosts with the mansion looming in the background.

Another windowfront shows posters inspired by Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Autopia, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

In the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster inspired poster, Buzz can be seen flying above Zurg with a laser canon in hand and green aliens at his side.

A poster of a LEGO pirate is displayed in a window, featuring the word "PIRATES" at the top with vibrant colors.

The Autopia inspired poster depicts LEGO people behind the wheel of a car taking a scenic drive. To the right of that, the Pirates of the Caribbean poster depicts a pirate with a parrot on his shoulder, sword in hand, and treasure chest at his feet.

Exterior Enhancements

The exterior of the building received a new grey and black color scheme while Prince Phillip continues to battle the powerful Maleficent in her dragon form.

The secondary entrance to the store remains closed to guest access. It appears that it will likely remain closed for an extended amount of time, possibly permanently, due to the obvious artwork that now stands in the windowfront as well as the two doors leading into the store.

Interior Updates

People browse in a colorful LEGO store, featuring large character murals and a variety of LEGO sets on display.

One of the biggest updates to the store’s interior is that of the second story. Although it had been closed off since COVID with the windows unblocked, that has now changed.

The windows on the second floor have now been obstructed with new Disney inspired LEGO artwork.

A staircase is blocked by stacked boxes and a black barrier in a store, next to a white wall and LEGO display.

Although the entrance to the second floor is still uncovered, it’s evident that the second story has been closed off to guests.

It’s very obviously being used for storage at the moment as you can see boxes stacked on the second floor as well as boxes in the stairway to the second floor in the photo shared above.

The vibrant interior of the refurbished toy store features colorful shelves brimming with boxed sets, reminiscent of a LEGO Store. A large, lively mural adorns the wall, capturing the playful spirit of its Downtown Disney District location.

The LEGO Store closed for refurbishment in early October but has since reopened as of Friday, November 22 — just in time for the holidays. The LEGO Store was one of the original tenants of Downtown Disney District when it opened in 2001. It features a Minifigure Factory, Pick & Build Wall, and Demo Table.
