Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern 2025 Opening Timeframe Updated for Magic Kingdom

Disney has shared a more specific opening timeframe for the new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern under construction at Magic Kingdom.

Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern Opening

A cozy lounge where people sit at tables, chatting and enjoying drinks. Warm lighting from chandeliers and wall sconces creates an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean. Paintings and plants adorn the walls, adding charm to this magical setting.

The Pirates of the Caribbean tavern will open in late 2025. It’s currently under construction next to Plaza Del Sol Caribe Bazaar, the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop. It takes over the former Pirates League space, five years after the makeover experience closed.

‘Tis time to prepare yerselves for the swashbucklin’ world of adventure as all bandits and buccaneers-to-be are invited to join me jolly crew at a new Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired tavern. Makin’ landfall in Adventureland in late 2025, this yonder lounge will welcome pirates of all ages with a sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub, and strike me colors, there may be more than a few mysterious and magical surprises in store!

The lounge will expand the lore of Pirates of the Caribbean and reintroduce Peg-Leg Pete, a.k.a. the Barker Bird. The bird previously invited guests to Pirates of the Caribbean from 1973 to 2006. Concept art shows themed artwork, ships in bottles, a bar, and seating.
