With so many Disney Vacation Club resorts, finding the perfect one for you and your party can be hard! Here is a list of three of our favorites at Walt Disney World and why you should stay there on your next vacation!

Villas at Wilderness Lodge

A large, illuminated resort with a rustic design resembles a wilderness lodge. It features a spacious outdoor swimming pool surrounded by trees and lounge chairs. The sky is clear and transitioning to dusk.

Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge are two Disney’s Wilderness Lodge expansions for Disney Vacation Club. As with the resort itself, the theming is top-notch, some of the best you can find at Walt Disney World. The cozy log cabin aesthetic and handmade feel make for a level of comfort unlike any other.

Additionally, the resort is in a great location, just outside the monorail loop. Guests can get to Magic Kingdom by boat or bus, and are a short trip from EPCOT.

The Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Fireworks light up the night sky over a waterfront resort, with overwater bungalows and a lit pathway in the foreground.

Easily the most iconic of the Disney Vacation Club options, the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort are cozy little getaways on the water. Guests can look out their window as they rest and relax to the tranquil sound of the water, or even use a private hot tub on the balcony!

In addition to the Bungalows, the Villas at the Polynesian offer a more traditional (and affordable) DVC hotel experience.

Disney’s Old Key West

A waterfront view of a large house with a porch and balconies, reminiscent of Disney’s Old Key West Resort, is surrounded by trees and a calm pond reflecting the building and sky.

While the previous two resorts can feel like quiet retreats just outside the action of the parks, Old Key West is actually a quiet retreat away from the parks. Despite being on property, it truly feels like you are far from any rollercoasters or castles, you’re just in the old-timey Florida Keys.

Some may find it bland, but others would call it relaxed. The theming is subtle, with a blend of modern aesthetics and old-time charm, which continues beyond the hotel room and into the lobby and other public amenities. One of the highlights is Olivia’s Cafe, which serves particularly delicious brunch options, especially the banana rum-soaked French toast!

Honorable Mention: The Island Tower and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Island tower rises amidst palm trees, boasting balconies that catch the sun's glow. A scenic walkway hugs the water, inviting people to leisurely stroll along its path on this sunny day.

The newest addition to the DVC lineup, the Island Tower, recently opened at the Polynesian, further expanding the DVC options at the resort. This new tower is heavily inspired by “Moana” and features references to the film and the real-world culture that the film pulls from.

The main highlight of this resort is the Wave Break Terrace, a lounge with a balcony that has an excellent viewing spot for the Magic Kingdom fireworks. There is also Moana’s Voyage, a water play area featuring a massive Moana statue riding on her wayfinding boat, a perfect detail for the kids in your party who love the Moana films.

If you would like to visit these resorts or any other DVC location, you do NOT need to be a Disney Vacation Club member! Staying at these resorts can often be one of the most affordable ways to stay on property. Our friends at DVC Rental Store are helping non-DVC members rent DVC points for their vacations. Members can sell their unused points here while offering buyers a rate often cheaper than similar hotel options.
