Chalk Full of Character Returns with Groot, Pascal, Remy, & More at 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

During the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, “chalk” images of classic Disney characters are hidden throughout World Showcase and sometimes even in other locations across the park. The character images that are a part of Chalk Full of Character serve as a kind of scavenger hunt activity. The artwork adds a touch of magic to the festival and it’s fun to look for them all as you go about your day at the park.

List of Chalk Full of Character Locations

Groot – World Discovery

Green bushes and banana plants add a vibrant touch to the building wall, while three people are partially visible at the bottom, creating a scene chalk full of character.

One character that is not in World Showcase is young Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He’s located in World Discovery on the wall outside of Connections Eatery near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

A mural of a tree character on a wall, chalk full of character, blending seamlessly with the nearby green foliage.

Groot can be seen standing on a vine that appears to be growing out of the hedge as he uses his arms to seemingly grasp the same hedge.

Dante (x2) – Mexico Pavilion

There are two art depictions of Dante from “Coco” on the façade of the Mexico Pavilion. Both of them can be found on either side of the main entrance doors.

On the left side of the main entrance is an image of Dante in his normal dog form.

On the right side of the entrance is Dante in his alebrije form. In Mexico, alebrijes are colorful sculptures of mythical creatures, however in the film “Coco,” the alebrijes are also real animals that guide people in the Land of the Dead.

Snowgies – Norway Pavilion

Chalk full of character, this timber-framed building boasts a steep roof, brown trim, and decorative details. A person sits on a stone ledge outside beneath a tree and vintage-style lamp post, surrounded by lush plants.

A group of Snowgies are playing on the Faux wooden planks of a roof located near the pavilion’s restrooms.

A Tudor-style building, Chalk Full of Character, displays whimsical cartoon snowmen stickers on the walls, all set against a picturesque blue sky with gentle clouds.

In “Frozen Fever,” Elsa creates these “Snowgies” when she sneezes. They are small, mischievous snowmen who end up living in Elsa’s ice palace with Marshmallow, the giant snow monster that Elsa created in the original “Frozen” film. Both creatures also appear in the end credits of “Frozen II” and on the Frozen Ever After ride also located in the Norway Pavilion.

Bruni – Norway Pavilion

Bruni, the fire spirit lizard from “Frozen II” can also be found in the Norway Pavilion near the outdoor seating area.

A small purple cartoon creature with a unicorn horn, chalk full of character, is painted on the back wall of a stone fireplace, surrounded by stacked logs.
A purple cartoon lizard, Chalk Full of Character, with pink flames on its back is painted on a wall, standing on a tree branch.

Bruni is a blue-purple lizard with a streak of pink-red flame running from his head to his tail. In this image, he looks to be sitting atop a pile of logs in the fireplace with a look of mischief on his face.

Little Brother – China Pavilion

A red wall full of character showcases three ornate windows, a white statue on the left, and a stone bench in the center. The patterned roof extends overhead, with plants artfully bordering the area.

Little Brother, Mulan’s dog, is located in this pavilion Standing on a wall above a bench which is outside the House of Good Fortune. He is reaching for a bone which appears to be hanging from a stick on the ledge of a window.

Chalk Full of Character, a cartoon dog eagerly eyes a hanging bone on the vibrant red wall.

In the film, Mulan attaches the stick and bone to Little Brother’s back so that he chases the bone, dragging chicken feed behind him. He is a tan dog with a large brown spot on his back, brown ears, and a brown tail.

Mushu and Cri-Kee – China Pavilion

The red pagoda-style concession stand, chalk full of character, sits beside a low wall with a circular gate. It's surrounded by trees and stone sculptures, exuding charm. A black rope barrier stands near the entrance, inviting visitors to explore its unique allure.

Located in the same pavilion are Mulan’s sidekicks, Mushu and Cri-Kee. The pair are situated on a wall next to The Painted Panda. The wall appears as though Mushu has broken through it.

A cartoon red dragon, chalk full of character, painted on a wall, appears to break through the surface, pointing at a small blue insect.

In this close-up image, Mushu is pointing at Cri-Kee as if to place the blame on his small pal.

Pascal (x3) – Germany Pavilion

A cartoon chameleon, Chalk Full of Character, is painted on a building wall, extending its tongue to catch a fly near an open window. A vintage streetlamp and trees add charm to the scene in the background.

Pascal is hiding in three locations around the Germany Pavilion. The first location is on the side of a drainage pipe just outside of Karamell-Küche. He looks to be using his long tongue to catch a piece of caramel corn, a staple snack of the pavilion.

A mural bursting with character portrays a vivid chameleon, its tongue playfully extended toward an insect, painted next to a pipe on the wall.
A chalk full of character, this painted chameleon on a wall extends its tongue to snag a fly near the gutter downspout.

Pascal is a chameleon, so it is only natural that we find him in varying styles and colors throughout the pavilion.

A lizard-shaped decoration, chalk full of character, adorns a wall beside a building with a tiled roof and drainpipe. Trees and a lamp post grace the background under the clear sky.

We found him next perched on a brick near the pavilion’s restrooms where he is using his tail to paint a yellow sun on the wall.

A small green cartoon chameleon, chalk full of character, is painted on a wall, holding a paintbrush and painting a bright yellow sun.

Pascal is Rapunzel’s best friend in the “Tangled” Franchise, so it is fitting that he is painting a sun. The sun is a symbol of Rapunzel’s kingdom, Corona, and appears on lanterns and flags. While this sun is not identical to its representation in the franchise, it is very similar in color and shape.

A person exits a shop with a decorative facade featuring a clock and the words "Chalk Full of Character: Clocks and Crafts." Evening sunlight illuminates the scene.

We spotted the last Pascal using his color-shifting abilities. He is hiding in the painted sign for Volkskunst Clocks and Crafts.

Illustration of a chameleon character on a wall, bursting with charm and chalk full of character, where the text "Clocks and" is partially visible.

Instead of his usual green color, he blends in with the browns of the letters in the store name.

Luca, Alberto, and Machiavelli – Italy Pavilion

A decorative fountain chalk full of character, featuring a stone basin, purple flowers, and charming cartoon murals of two children. A majestic lion face adorns the fountain, while playful small dog and vibrant purple mushroom figures add whimsical charm below.

We found Luca and Alberto playing above the water fountains at the Italy Pavilion. Alberto seems to be kicking water at Luca.

Chalk Full of Character, this stone planter features vibrant purple flowers flanked by two drinking fountains. At its base, a whimsically painted cat with a mustache peers at a small purple fish.

Machiavelli, the Marcovaldo’s family cat, is pictured next to a small purple crab below the pair.

A mural of a grumpy-looking cream and brown cat with black ears and a large black mustache graces the stone wall, sitting next to a large decorative urn. This chalk-full-of-character cat adds whimsy and charm to the scene.
A small, cartoonish, purple creature with big eyes peeks from behind a stone structure on a paved walkway, chalk full of character.

Machiavelli is a white and brown cat who is giving Luca and Alberto a suspicious look.

Meeko and Flit – The American Adventure

The Chalk Full of Character raccoon mural adorns a column near guests in line at Kidcot Fun Stop, complemented by a sign overhead and wooden furniture close by.

Meeko and Flit were a new addition at last year’s festival and have returned to The American Adventure. They are located on a white column just outside of the Art of Disney store.

Meeko and Flit are Pocahontas’ animal companions and are a frisky pair. In the film, the two get into numerous risky situations. It appears not much has changed as Meeko looks to be hanging onto the pillar while trying to grab a cookie from Flit flying above him.

Gelatoni and Duffy – Japan Pavilion

Three people sitting on a bench against a wooden structure, each absorbed in their phone. Chalk full of character, the scene features a man in a blue shirt and hat seated to the left, adding his unique presence to this modern-day tableau.

Gelatoni and Duffy can be found just outside of the Mitsukoshi store at the Japan pavilion. The pair are situated high up on a wall above a wooden beam.

Gelatoni seems to be showing Duffy how to paint. He is a cat artist who wears a beret. Duffy is presented in his sailor bear attire. Paint cans are strewn about as the two paint a Mickey made of pawprints.

Chef – Japan Pavilion

A mural, chalk full of character, features a smiling octopus wearing a headband, skillfully holding sushi and utensils with its tentacles. This lively artwork decorates an exterior wall adorned with traditional wooden latticework.

Last year, Chef was located near the back of the pavilion. However, this year, he has a more prominent location just outside the entrance to Teppan Edo and Shiki-Sai which are located upstairs above the Mitsukoshi store.

Chef is a character in Pixar’s “Monster’s Inc.”

Abu – Morocco Pavilion

Chalk Full of Character, the green door features decorative grating with a wooden beam resting against it. Nearby, metal lanterns and pots hang gracefully on the textured wall.

Aladdin’s companion, Abu, is located next to a green door in the pavilion. He appears to be attempting theft of a pot hanging from the wall.

He also carries a sack of goodies including Genie’s lamp.

Remy and Emile – France Pavilion

Chalk full of character, the tan building corner features decorative stucco and a vintage-style lantern. Ivy and flowering bushes thrive at its base, adding to its timeless charm.

Remy and Emile can be found on a wall leading into the “Ratatouille” section of the France Pavilion. Remy is climbing a drainage pipe while Emile is eating a snack.

The two are in a slightly different location than last year when Remy was running across the ledge and not up the pipe. However, Emile did carry on the tradition of snacking from last year’s art.

Uncle Waldo, Abigail, and Amelia – France Pavilion

EPCOT FOTA 2024 Chalk Full of Characters 1395

Uncle Waldo and his nieces’s Abigail and Amelia are shown in this picture from last year’s festival. The trio were a new addition in 2024. Abigail and Amelia save the day by rescuing Thomas O’Malley from a river in “The Aristocats.”

After the rescue, the twins escort O’Malley, Duchess, and the kittens back to Paris. In Paris, they run into Uncle Waldo in a drunken state. It appears that he has not sobered up as he is depicted slumped over with his eyes half-closed.

A wooden duck wearing a blue bonnet is painted on a brick wall, full of character, with shadows of tree leaves cast over it. At the duck's feet, a small red squirrel adds even more charm to this chalk full of character mural.

Another new friend also joined the trio this year. The small red squirrel was found alongside Merlin and Arthur in the back gardens of the U.K. Pavilion at last year’s festival but seems to now be pining over Abigail on a wall near the water of the France Pavilion.

Peter Pan’s Shadow – United Kingdom Pavilion

A street chalk full of character features people walking amidst buildings that blend British architectural styles, including a charming clock tower and bare trees reaching skyward under a clear blue sky.

Peter Pan’s shadow is once again located atop The Toy Soldier gift shop peering in a bay window below a clock.

The shadow is a key plot point in “Peter Pan” as it stays behind in the darling nursery, leading Peter to come looking for it. This chalk rendering is reminiscent of the moment in the film when Pan comes back for his shadow – entering into the Darling nursery by window.

Merlin and Arthur – United Kingdom Pavilion

People sitting on a bench in a park, surrounded by neatly trimmed hedges and tall trees, paint a scene chalk full of character under the clear blue sky.

The squirrels from “The Sword in the Stone” are located in the back gardens of the pavilion. In the film, Merlin transforms himself and Arthur into squirrels to teach the squire about gravity.

Merlin is the blue squirrel and is in a lower position on the column than last year. Arthur and a female squirrel are located in the same location. She falls in love with Arthur while in his animal form.

“The Great Mouse Detective” Characters – United Kingdom Pavilion

A brick castle-like building, chalk full of character, stands proudly with a trimmed garden in front. Signs point in various directions under the overcast sky, while people stroll nearby, adding life to this charming scene.

Last year, these characters from “The Great Mouse Detective” were new to the pavilion and return this year in a new location near the restrooms. The scene depicts the film’s climactic battle above London.

“The Great Mouse Detective” is based on the “Basil of Baker Street” book series by Eve Titus. Basil and Dawson are the mice counterparts of the famous Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson from Arthur Conan Doyle’s books and short stories. In the film and books, Basil and Dawson live in the walls of 221B Baker Street, the residence of Holmes and Watson.

Koda – Canada Pavilion

A stone building chalk full of character, with green-tipped roofs, stands surrounded by vibrant autumn trees, a small pond, and striking rock formations beneath a cloudy sky.

Koda from the film “Brother Bear” can be found in the Canada Pavilion catching a fish by the river. He’s on a column of the bridge near the entrance to Le Cellier.

Koda is a small brown bear who befriends Kenai during the events of the film. Here he is shown adorably excited by his catch of a pink and green fish.
