In anticipation of the show’s debut this summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney World has shared new concept art for Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.

The new art shows the Magic Mirror center stage and villains in each of the portraits above. Hades and Jafar are on balconies while Captain Hook, Cruella, and Maleficent are on the stage.

Of the show, Disney said:

“If you asked them, our villains would probably try to convince you that they’ve been treated pretty unfairly over the years. In this show, the Magic Mirror has summoned us to hear them out. Never ones to let a dramatic performance pass them by, fiendish foes Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent will break through the glass and take the stage to prove once and for all why they are the most misunderstood. In the end, it will be on you to make the final call in a delightfully wicked finale filled with dozens of the most infamous evildoers awaiting your decision from within the Mirror’s realm.”

A person sketches a face on a lightboard, with art supplies and a Mickey Mouse hat in the background, evoking memories of Hollywood Studios.

They also shared a look at an artist working on conceptual design for the Magic Mirror.

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After replaces Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, which closed in late 2024. The show does not have a premiere date beyond “summer 2025” at this time.
