Although Muppet*Vision 3D will permanently close soon, Disney is still releasing new merchandise based on the show. Salute to all attractions but mostly Muppet*Vision 3D with this new Sam Eagle mug, which we first spotted at Celebrity 5 & 10 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Sam Eagle Mug – $16.99
The outside of this mug is black with a white base and white handle. Sam Eagle is pictured in a circle framed by golden laurels. Sam is pictured saluting, wearing an American flag-inspired top hat and tie. Below him is his famous Muppet*Vision 3D quote, “A salute to all nations but mostly America.” It’s mostly in red script but “America” is in bold white letters. This design is on both sides of the mug.
The inside is yellow. It holds 14 ounces / 414 milliliters and is hand wash only. It matches a Stanley-stye Sam Eagle tumbler also available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Muppet*Vision 3D will close to make way for a “Monsters, Inc.” land. The Muppets will find a new home in a reimagining of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring the Electric Mayhem. In a statement, Disney indicated they are “exploring ways to preserve” Muppet*Vision. The Jim Henson Company echoed this statement. Muppet*Vision 3D was Jim Henson’s final project before his death.
