Howdy! Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs were stuffed with new merchandise including character-shaped mugs, plush for specific occasions, and apparel that will make any nineties baby very happy.
Good Morning from Animal Kingdom
The weather has shifted yet again and I am cold. The parks are certainly still in a busy season. Today all the expensive Lightning Lane Premier Passes were sold out at all four parks so I expected it to be busy.
On this note. Who is paying that extreme price for Disney’s Animal Kingdom? I would not recommend that pass for this park personally.
New Pandora Charms
I am obsessed with the new Steamboat Mickey Pandora Charm. Today, Pandora also released a Goofy charm. Each charm is $80 and available exclusively in Disney Parks. I found these two in Discovery Trading Company Riverside Depot.
New Disney Plushes
I am a much bigger fan of the redesigned Blissful Buddies. The original Blissful Buddies were just a bit off-looking for most people. The Pua and Mickey Mouse Blissful Buddies are available for $29.99 each.
I found strawberry-themed Mickey and Minnie Mouse plushes available for $24.99 each. These adorable plushes were also found in Discovery Trading Post Riverside Depot.
New Trendy Jerseys
Jerseys have become more popular in the last year or so. I love both the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse jerseys. I found these in Discovery Trading Post Riverside Depot. Each jersey costs $74.99 which is why I passed, but the Mickey Mouse one belongs in my closet.
DVC Extinction in Dinoland
While exploring Dinoland, I reminisced on my mornings with Marley, the American Crocodile who was removed from Dinoland a few months ago, I noticed that the DVC booth outside of the boneyard was missing. I thought I was being gaslit before I finally realized that there was a booth there before.
The DVC booth missing made me even more nostalic for the childhood memories I have made here. I remember when the fountain outside Dinosaur worked… do you?
Expedition Everest Hoodie – $79.99
Serka Zong Bazaar has a new Yeti themed hoodie. It reminds me of the Figment hoodie that was released last week. I am not a huge fan of the cosplay hoodies personally. I do think they are cool, just not my look, although one might argue that I already have that hairstyle after a ride on Expedition Everest.
All-Star Movies Resort
I took a bus to All-Star Movies to check out the progress made in a recent refurbishment in the World Premiere Food Court. My favorite upgrades are the floor tiles that look like oldschool film, and the charcter overlayed movie posters. My favorite posters were the Princess Diaries and Lizzie McGuire Movie.
Disney Style Princess Party
I skipped over to Disney Springs and found new Disney Princess sweaters. There was a purple Ariel sweater, a green Tiana sweater, and a grey Cinderella sweater. You can see that the images are pressed into the fabric. Each sweater is available in Disney Style for $59.99.
There is also an Ariel shirt that made me laugh out loud. “But Daddy I love him,” is an iconic line from ‘The Little Mermaid’ and I probably reference this more often than I should. The shirt is available for $39.99.
Disney Style Trending Sweaters
Fair warning, these sweaters are already trending online so if you want one I wouldn’t wait too long. In fact, even this afternoon there were only larger sizes availble. The Walt Disney World sweater on the left is available for $69.99. The Mickey v-neck sweater is available for $69.99.
Raglan Road
Progress has finally been made over at Raglan Road. They have had these walls up for what feels like close to a year if not a year already. Thre is now an overhang with electrical wires which to me means progress.
Co-Op Shirts – $29.99 each or $25.00 for two
Co-Op had three new shirts available. There was a typical Disney World shirt, but the Grumpy and Pegasus shirts were fabulous. I love seeing Grumpy on any merchandise, and to see Pegasus is a treat since he isn’t a hugely popular character.
Mickey and Friends
I have said it before, but I like the new Mickey and Friends collection, and this shirt totally sold it for me as a nineties kid. The denim collar and the block colors are awesome and campy. The shirt featuring the famous four boys is available for $49.99. The Mickey Mouse rug is also really cool and available for 34.99 which feels like a steal. I found both of these in the World of Disney.
More Mickey and Minnie Plushes
As I said, I am a child of the nineties so specifically themed Mickey and Minnie plushes are something I remember from the Disney Store in the mall. I found wedding themed Mickey and Minnie plushes in the World of Disney. Each plush is available for $29.99. I love the attention to Minnie’s dress.
There is also a Disney Studios Director Mickey in a sepia toned color scheme. Director Mickey is avialble in the World of Disney for $24.99.
More Blissful Buddies – $29.99 each
In the World of Disney they had a Stitch and Red Panda Mei Blissful Buddies. Again, I think this is a much more superior design choice, and I love Mei’s little toes.
FIGMENT AND ORANGE BIRD BOTTLES – $24.99 each
As the Stanley goes out of style maybe it’s time to switch over to the classic water bottle? Here is your sign to get away from your Stanley and go back to the original we all know and love because they are easy to clean and don’t get moldy. I found both of these adorable bottles in World of Disney.
Character Mugs – $24.99 each
In World of Disney they had character shaped mugs. Obviously I work for Tom Corless so I was most excited to see the Figment mug, but the Cheshire Cat is fun and the Dalmatian pup will always have my heart.
I don’t know how functional this mug would be to drink from but it would sure make you smile looking at it smiling at you.
Jack and Sally Valentine Plush – $39.99
If you are looking to make a spooky gals Valentine’s Day this plush sure would make that dark heart bright. I love the twist on the colors and that they come as a pair.
Are you a ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ fan? Let me know in the comments. I love the movie, but The Mayor is my favorite character and doesn’t get too much merchandise.
I hope you enjoyed our shopping trip to Walt Disney World. We are entering a fairly quiet time for Disney so it was exciting to have a refresh on the merchandise shelves. My favorite find of the day was the Steamboat Mickey Pandora Charm. Let me know what your favorite piece is in the comments below.
