Universal Orlando Resort has announced yet another closure for Universal Volcano Bay water theme park, as low temperatures and other inclement weather continue to move through Central Florida.
Universal Volcano Bay to Close for Inclement Weather
Universal Orlando Resort announced on social media that Volcano Bay will be closed on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25, due to inclement weather. Guests are encouraged to call 407-817-8317 or stay tuned to the resort’s social media channels for updates.
This is the latest in a seemingly endless string of closures as Central Florida experiences low wintry temperatures. The water park was also closed last week, on January 15 and 16, due to low temperatures.
According to Weather.com, Friday will see a high of 56° F and a low of 36° F, with Saturday creeping up to 63° F and hitting a low of 44° F. It’s possible that the water park could reopen on Sunday, January 26, depending on the weather.
Universal recently announced a new separately ticketed, after-hours event for Volcano Bay, taking place later this spring.
