China’s Sour Plum Tea is Now Missing From All Club Cool Soda Fountains at in EPCOT

China’s Suan Mei Tang or Sugar Plum Tea beverage is now missing from all Soda Fountains in EPCOT’s Club Cool Experience.

A soda fountain machine at Club Cool features three unique beverage options: Royal Watermelon from the Philippines, Sour Plum Tea (Suan Mei Tang) from China, and Sprite Cucumber from Russia. A sign playfully encourages guests to "Please Try Another Flavor.

All dispensers previously labeled as Suan Mei Tang (or Sour Plum Tea) now read “Please Try Another Flavor.” The drink was described as “a traditional Chinese beverage that has existed for over 1,000 years with a savory, sweet and tart flavor that is considered by many to be the ultimate thirst quencher on a hot day.”

No word on whether this is a permanent removal of the drink or if it will return.

Club Cool offers a unique soda fountain experience with 10 international drink options, including Coca-Cola and China's Sour Plum Tea, set against a vibrant red background. Some dispensers are marked "Out of Order.

Club Cool, hosted by Coca Cola, is an all-you-care-to-sample beverage bar is back with Coca-Cola products from around the world. Sodas from Korea, Madagascar, the Philippines and more are all available for thirsty guests.

A hand holding an empty clear plastic cup with the iconic Coca-Cola logo instantly transports you to the nostalgic vibes of EPCOT's Club Cool.

Recently, Club Cool made the switch from branded paper cups to clear plastic cups for their Flavors Around the World taste-testing experience. The current Club Cool location next to Creations Shop opened in 2021. White paper cups branded with the red Coca-Cola logo were previously available at the soda machines. The new cups are the same size and shape, with the red logo on two sides, but is made of clear plastic instead of paper.

Club Cool also sells a variety of Coca-Cola merchandise including clothing, bottles, and other items.
