Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, has shared a first look at the new Friendtastic! parade debuting for the 20th-anniversary celebration.
Friendtastic! Parade First Look
The first look was shared in a video on Moriarty’s Instagram page.
The parade was first announced in February, along with other details for “The Most Magical Party of All.”
The first look showed a sneak peek at the parade’s lead float, which will feature Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy. You can see the whole gang together along with the float in the concept art above.

The front of the float features the parade name “Friendtastic!” in block letters of blue, purple, and pink with gold-toned framing.
The exterior of the float is covered in vibrant pink flowers with leaves that have hues of green, purple, and blue. The flowers are inspired by the Hong Kong Bauhinia flower.
You can see nods to Mickey in the design of the golf platform on the float. A Mickey icon is crafted into the railing and Mickey’s gloves are featured around the rim below the platform.

Mickey and his friends will also be playing some instruments during the parade, as there is a drum set and double bass on the float. The two double basses can be seen in the photos above, with one on either side of the center platform.
Hong Kong Disneyland‘s 20th anniversary celebration will begin this summer; no start date has been announced as of yet. Alongside the debut of the new “Friendtastic!” parade will be a castle stage show, a special 20th anniversary edition of “Momentous,” and more. There will also be themed food and beverage offerings as well as exclusive merchandise.
