Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Hits 170 Minute Wait on First Day of Standby Line at EPCOT

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT celebrated its first day of offering a standby queue by hitting a wait time of 170 minutes by 9:24 a.m.

People waiting in line at a theme park, standing behind a sign that says "Line starts here." Trees and a building are visible in the background.

A Cast Member was out in front of the attraction with a “Line starts here” sign directing guests where to enter the queue.

When we first joined the line, the queue extended out past the Nova Corps Starblaster ship and continued along the side of the show building.

Visitors and staff stand by an outdoor area near a futuristic building, as if stepping into the world of Guardians of the Galaxy, with a geodesic dome in the background under a cloudy sky.

Cast Members remain in the area directing guests through the queue line and leaving an open space for those walking by to access Connections Eatery.

A crowd eagerly waits in the standby line outside a pavilion near a monorail track, while the large, spherical Spaceship Earth structure looms impressively in the background, reminiscent of an epic scene from Guardians of the Galaxy.

We recently reported on the outdoor queue with blue umbrellas set up beside the show building which is now in use. To the right is an additional extended queue that has been put in place to combat the crowds.

A backstage area was also opened to allow for more guests to wait in the extended queue.

A group of people, some dressed as characters from "Guardians of the Galaxy," stand together outdoors near roped-off areas, with trees and a building in the background, as if on standby for a cosmic rewind.

Star-Lord was also out interacting with Cast Members and guests as they passed by in the queue.

However, at 9:32 a.m., the wait dropped to 135 minutes, or just over two hours. At the time of publishing, the attraction sits at an 85-minute wait.

The 170-minute wait time may have potentially been inflated as we entered the queue line at 9:20 with a posted wait of 170 minutes and had already entered the preshow area around 10:10 a.m. We anticipate these wait times to fluctuate throughout the day.
