An extended outdoor queue has been set up at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT in preparation for the ride no longer offering a virtual queue.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Extended Queue

Disney announced this past week that both Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World would be ending their use of virtual queues on February 24. As of February 25, both attractions will offer traditional standby queues where guests can enter at any time and wait to ride.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has utilized a virtual queue since the attraction opened on May 22, 2022. Using this system, guests wanting to ride had to grab a virtual spot on the My Disney Experience app. The line spots were dropped at 7 a.m. ET and 1 p.m. ET daily, with the queue often being filled shortly after the drop times. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will still continue to offer Lightning Lane Single Passes and Lightning Lane Premier Pass for guests to purchase if they do not want to wait in the standby line.

In preparation for the first day of standby lines at the attraction, a new extended queue has been added outside the main show building. The new queue is located to the left of the Guardians of the Galaxy building, near the right wall of Connections Eatery.

The serpentine is made of standard silver posts with metal chains separating the lines. Blue umbrellas have been added on top of several poles to provide guests standing in the line with some shade.

The addition of this queue implies Disney expects demand for the attraction to spike once the virtual queue has been discontinued. Rather than allowing the line to wind outside and into the main walkway, Disney has opted to add this overflow queue area in a location where less guests will be walking.
Queue space has been a notable problem for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind even prior to the standby queue announcement. Walt Disney Imagineering originally planned to use nearby buildings in EPCOT to further extend the queue of the attraction prior to its debut, but the plans were denied by upper-level managers.
Disney also announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind would be added on February 25 to the early entry benefit for Disney hotel guests. Early entry allows guests at Disney Resort hotels and select partner hotels to enter the park 30 minutes before their regular opening time and access select attractions.
