Crews have installed new bamboo fencing around a garden in the Japan pavilion of EPCOT.
New Bamboo Fencing
The fencing surrounds a garden near the front of the pavilion, next to Mitsukoshi and Takumi-Tei. This space did previously have a bamboo fence, but this fencing appears to be brand new. It surrounds most of the large flowerbed, with a stone wall at the back.

The old fence had three horizontal rails crossing the vertical supports. There was no top rail like the new fence has. This style better matches fencing in other parts of the Japan pavilion. Black string holds the posts together.

For comparison, the old fencing is visible in the photo above.
The new bamboo fencing has been installed just a few weeks before the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival begins. In the past, the bamboo fencing surrounded part of the Shishi-odoshi garden. It’s located behind the Zen Garden, which is up year-round but gets bonsai trees during the festival.
