New sports jersey-style shirts themed to Disney Princesses have arrived at Walt Disney World.
We found the new jerseys at Star Traders in Magic Kingdom and Discovery Trading Company at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Ariel Sports Jersey – $74.99
This light teal jersey takes inspiration from Princess Ariel. “Walt Disney World” is written across the chest in purple using a cursive font. A small patch of Flounder is sewn above the “W” in “Walt.” A single line of matching teal buttons runs down the center of the shirt.
The right sleeve has a second patch of a pink shell sitting beside a white flower and a fork.
On the back of the sports jersey, “Ariel 89” is written in purple. The number “89” refers to the year 1989, when the original “The Little Mermaid” animated film was released.
Aurora Sports Jersey – $74.99
The second jersey uses Princess Aurora’s classic pink and blue color scheme. The right half of the sports jersey is baby blue, but the left half is light pink. Likewise, the “Walt Disney World” text running across the chest alternates between pink and blue, depending on which side of the shirt the text is embroidered. Patches of the fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather surround the words, almost as if they are arguing about which colors the jersey should be.
As with the Ariel sports jersey, the right sleeve has an additional patch.
The back of the jersey is split blue and pink with the number “59” in alternating colors and “Aurora” above it in white. The number 59 refers to the year 1959, when the animated film “Sleeping Beauty” was released.
Moana Sports Jersey – $74.99
The front of the jersey displays ‘Walt Disney World” embroidered in red and yellow. A patch of Pua and Hei-Hei is also featured on the front of the jersey.
The boat that Moana and Maui sail on in the first film is depicted on the sleeve.
The back of the jersey reads “Moana 16,” referring to the year 2016 when the animated film “Moana” debuted.
Cinderella Sports Jersey – $74.99
The Cinderella sports jersey is a light blue color with the Walt Disney World wordmark stitched across the front.
Jaq and Gus are depicted in two blue patches on the front of the jersey above the Walt Disney World text.
On the jersey’s sleeve is a patch of the castle from the film and Cinerella’s glass slipper in front of it.
The back of the jersey reads ‘Cinderella 50″ referring to the year 1950, when “Cinderella” was released.
This Cinderella jersey is among other pieces of merchandise that have arrived at Walt Disney World celebrating the 75th anniversary of the animated film. Other pieces of Cinderella merchandise we’ve discovered include pins, a limited-edition doll and figurines, a Minnie ear headband, and a new plush.
